Lucy is the famous Australopithecus afarensis skeleton discovered by Mary Leakey (among others) in 1974. Originally thought to be the missing link between modern humans, apes, and their common ancestor, Lucy was the most intact early hominid discovered at the time and also the oldest (3 million years). She was named after the song 'Lucy in the Sky' by the Beatles, which the team played in celebration of their discovery.

This hand drawn design is printed on a soft, breathable, lightweight and soft crew-neck tee.
